My favourite prawn linguini

Well as you may of guessed, I’m kitchen-less, well at least for the next few weeks. I saw this coming so stock piled a few dishes ahead of the demolition, firstly to keep me on target, secondly to provide you with anecdotal subject matter.

Right, so first up Jamie’s so called ‘favourite’ prawn linguini, not quite sure what makes it HIS favourite, but I can tell you what makes it mine… it’s simple… really, there is nothing to it!

With only a handful of ingredients you are able to put together a great, simple 20 minute worthy dish. Everyone knows that basil and tomatoes were made for each other, but surprisingly the prawns make for good company and certainly don’t feel like the third wheel…

It was also time for another dessert to rear its head and this one comes with a health warning/disclaimer: “EAT AT YOUR OWN PERIL”.

Banoffee banana split

Look, I’ve never been a calories or sugar man (Rodriquez anyone?), this would probably scare you if you are, but if like me you like to throw caution to the wind, this dessert is right up your ally.

You might even be able to console yourself in the fact it contains a fruit, but that is pretty much where the healthy bit end and the sugary high begins.

Double cream, ice cream, dark chocolate, rum drenched raisins and toffee sauce are all set atop the bananas and sprinkled with toasted almonds… so was it worth it? yes, would I do it again? not in a hurry… is it 20 minute worthy? indeed, infact you can whip it together in 10… but be prepared for the consequences…
